ERSV + Food Bank

On Tuesday the 28th of April, the ERSV successfully completed its first Food Bank operation in partnership with the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

After posting in the COVID-19 Coming Together (Vancouver) group on Facebook and receiving a couple of dozen requests for help getting Food Bank supplies to families stuck at home, a small group of ERSV volunteers worked with Food Bank staff at the GVFB Warehouse at 8345 Winston St. in Burnaby to pack, load, and distribute hampers to the families in need.

After the successful test run, a form has been set up on the ERSV website to allow Greater Vancouver Food Bank members to request hampers online.

We are planning a larger operation this coming Wednesday, May 6th.

Leanne and Shaun were able to handle about 15 deliveries in their mid size crossover
