Terms and Conditions

Emergency Relief Society of Vancouver (the “ERSV”) is a non-profit society organized on a volunteer basis, that connects volunteers (the “Volunteers”) with person(s) in need (“PIN”). The Volunteers seek to provide the PIN with groceries, medication, and other supplies (the “Supplies”) as needed by the PIN, and the PIN seek to receive Supplies from the Volunteers. Through this initiative, the ERSV works to connect Volunteers and PIN so that the Volunteers can provide the PIN with Supplies through various methods (the “Services”).

The ERSV makes no representation, warranty or guarantee regarding the reliability, timeliness, quality, suitability, or availability of the delivery of the Services or any services or goods requested through the use of the Services. The ERSV do not guarantee the quality, suitability, safety or ability of Volunteers providing the Service or of the PIN receiving the Service. By using the Service, you agree that the entire risk arising out of your use of the Service, whether as a Volunteer or PIN,, remains solely with you.

Limitation of Liability 
The ERSV, along with its directors, officers, and volunteers shall not be liable for any damages, liability or losses arising out of (i) your use of or reliance on the Service or your inability to use the Service, or (ii) any transaction or relationship between you and any Volunteer and/or PIN arising in connection with use of the Service. The ERSV, along with its directors, officers, and volunteers shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance of the Service. The ERSV, along with its directors, officers, and volunteers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including personal injury, or property damage related to, in connection with, or otherwise resulting from any use of the Service. 

You acknowledge that the Volunteers and PIN are not required to undergo a criminal record check or other screening process prior to providing or receiving the Services

Privacy, Information Storage, and Information Sharing

The ERSV collects information through its website and over the phone about the PIN and Volunteers in order to better connect and support the PIN and Volunteers through the Services. Such information may be stored or shared in order to offer the Services and related functions. Under no circumstances will such information be knowingly shared or sold for commercial or other purposes not demonstrably related to the Services.
